When I went to my first yoga class, I was TERRIFIED. Everything about the class was unfamiliar, and even though I was physically fit and able, the whole concept of yoga was so different to me that it was way outside my comfort zone. Over the years, I have watched hundreds of students take their first classes, most of them with that same level (or worse) of anxiety.
Are you one of those people who will NEVER take a yoga class because it’s just too much? Yet you don’t feel equipped to practice to podcasts and videos without someone there to make sure they are doing it “right” - because we are conditioned to think we need an expert authority to tell how how to do things we’ve never done before.
Good News! Yoga Wonderland is a place where you won’t look weird (no one is watching you). Where you get to make up the rules of what you do and how you do it. Where you can create your own home yoga practice, and love it.
And, I’ve included a hint of WHITE RABBIT (instruction) in this program just for you. In each module of this program, I’ve included WHITE RABBIT WHISPERS in the form of “Normal Man” video demonstrations.
I’d like to introduce you to Normal Man. He does normal things, in his living room, with his body. Normal Man doesn’t like to exercise, and he would never use the word yoga to describe what he does. However, he follows the sequences of this program rather closely, and finds his own way to make them feel good for him. Normal Man is our comic relief mascot, our normal man model, as well as a master at imagination. In very short snippet videos (around five minutes each), he demonstrates his version of each sequence as well as ways he moves his body with breath in a form of "exercising without exercising.”
